Why Lucem Health?
When we started Lucem Health with Mayo Clinic, we had a compass and a destination in mind, but we weren't sure where we'd end up.
Along the way, we became obsessed with helping healthcare providers detect diseases earlier.
And now? That obsession has become our focus.
Why now?
More than two-thirds of all deaths are caused by one or more of five chronic diseases: heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes.
Early diagnosis and intervention can improve outcomes and quality of life for patients.
But providers are facing acute staffing shortages, unprecedented revenue and margin pressure, and patients who are increasingly avoiding preventative care.
Something has to change.
